North Devon Arts

North Devon Arts is a well-established, not-fo- profit, constituted, membership group for professional and amateur artists working across all art forms, including interested non-practising members. Formed 25 years ago to fulfil the needs of artists working in isolation across the area, the group provides opportunities to meet regularly, exchange ideas and exhibit together.

Monthly meetings are held with a speaker, a monthly Arts Newsletter is produced and regular exhibitions and collaborative arts projects are organised. North Devon Arts holds a weekly Arts & Crafts Club and a monthly En Plein Air session, both are open to non-members as well. Members have a gallery page on the North Devon Arts website – a useful ‘first-stop’ resource for anyone searching for contemporary art and artists based in North Devon.

The group has a good social media presence with its community Facebook page at facebook.com/groups/ndaprojects providing updates on North Devon Arts events and projects.

North Devon Arts welcomes enquiries: perhaps working in collaboration with business partners or arts organisations, or artists and makers wanting information on joining.  Please contact: hello@northdevonarts.co.uk or visit our website: northdevonarts.co.uk

The judges are looking for evidence of at least two of the criteria below. You don’t have to meet all – just use them as a guide for your entry – what’s most important is for you to tell your story!

  • Helps artists achieve sales through marketing, promotion and selling
  • Achieves this via their premises, galleries, events or web sites
  • Establishes a network in art communities locally, nationally or globally to promote North Devon artists
  • Promotes and raises awareness of North Devon art businesses to other business sectors and to the wider public
