Business Action is a quarterly North Devon-based business magazine. distributed in print direct to 2,000+ businesses across North Devon and online.
Originally established as the magazine of the NDBA networking group, Business Action relaunched in February 2019 as an independent business magazine, published by Need it Find it.

Business Action is edited by Robert Zarywacz, who was technology writer for The Business Magazine in the Thames Valley in the 1990s and business editor of the North Devon Journal from 2009 to 2017.
Robert has interviewed dozens of chief executives and managing directors of businesses large and small, and takes a keen interest in technology, manufacturing and infrastructure. He is also interested in skills, having managed the media coverage of apprenticeship campaigns in North Devon which drove an increase in new apprenticeship starts to 15% above county, regional and national levels, as well as in small businesses. Robert’s communications background includes corporate roles with British Airways and global law firm Baker & McKenzie, as well as running his own communications partnership at z2z.com.

Co-founder | Alan Williams
Alan Williams created the original concept of Need it Find it, originally a printed advertising leaflet and now an online North Devon Business Directory, to help businesses find new customers. This led to the creation of the first BBxpo business exhibition where response to the idea of relaunching a local business magazine was overwhelmingly positive. While supporting these activities, Alan is no longer part of the business.

Need it Find it aims to support and promote all businesses in North Devon – irrespective of size, sector or age – to increase prosperity for everyone in the community.
We work together with businesses, support agencies, councils, colleges and schools, charities and other organisations to support business and skills development.
From launching an online business directory in 2017, our principal activities include publishing Business Action magazine distributed across town centres, business parks and by mail; organising affordable business exhibitions; running the annual North Devon Business Awards and Celebration: and participating in initiatives run by other local organisations.
