King’s Awards for Enterprise 2024

King’s Awards for Enterprise 2024 | Business Action | North Devon business news

It is always a delight to welcome Mark Ansell, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Devon, to the North Devon Business Awards to talk about the benefits of entering the King’s Awards for Enterprise.

Once again, Mark is urging more businesses across the county, especially in North Devon, to enter the King’s Awards and Business Action supports him.

There were just five Devon winners in 2023 – one was Moo Free Ltd of Holsworthy, which entered after meeting Mark as winner of the North Devon Best Employer Award in 2022. Moo Free was recognised for Promoting Opportunity.

In 2024, there were four Devon winners – including Millbrook Dairy Company Ltd in Bideford, recognised for International Trade.

Any business with two full-time employees (or equivalent) can enter the awards, which provide considerable benefits, including both national and international recognition.

Many will be aware of the original international trade category, but now there are four categories to enter, meaning that businesses in any sector can apply. These are:

  • Innovation
  • International Trade
  • Sustainable Development
  • Promoting Opportunity (through social mobility)

While the application process is rigorous, it is in itself useful and well worth the effort.

Take a look at the awards, which are free to enter, and enter your business.

ENTRY DEADLINE: 12 SEPTEMBER 2024
