Turquoise Thinking, a full service market research agency based in Barnstaple, has teamed up with business growth specialists South West Growth Service to offer a suite of products designed to help small businesses grow.

Over the past 30 years, Turquoise Thinking has provided market research services to a extensive range of internationally recognised brands, and while this work continues, the new partnership signals a ‘coming home’ to the South West in delivering the highest quality research services to local companies.

Mark Harvey, joint managing director of Turquoise Thinking, said “We love living and working in the South West and know that there are some fantastic businesses on our doorstep. We look forward to bringing our research experience to firms in the region through our partnership with South West Growth Service, helping their clients to grow”.

Chris Lorimer, director and co-founder of South West Growth Service, said, “Many of our clients are looking for better insights into their markets, particularly to support business development and new product development activities. What Turquoise Thinking offer is the highest calibre of market research expertise, honed from over 30 years of demanding customer relationships. We wanted this capability for our clients and the fact they are based in Barnstaple is a bonus”.

One of Turquoise’s longest standing relationships is with South West Water, who have been working with the agency since 1993. Sally Mills, head of customer relations, commented, “Our relationship with Turquoise has spanned a number of decades. They know our business and the sector as well as anyone and their work is a cornerstone of our business planning.”

Turquoise is best known for working on large-scale research projects in the utilities, healthcare, retail and finance sectors with clients such as NPower, VolksWagen, Proctor & Gamble, and Co-Op. However, as part of its initiative to support businesses in the South West, it has introduced a suite of proprietary market research products that provide real value to firms of any size.

Most notable is Turquoise Touchpoint, an instant access survey tool that allows the business to gain valuable customer insights even without customer data. Customers can be contacted by email or text message and Turquoise Thinking will script the questionnaire and provide account manager support. Survey results can be tracked instantly online and used either as a self-contained study or as a starting point for further investigation.
