Bideford-based MJM Sports has partnered with Kappa Sportswear to sponsor the Yorkshire Junior & Youth League to support teams with zero discipline and all Cup Final Winners in a three-year deal with the option to increase it to a five-year deal. The signing of the contract took part at Shaw Cross Sharks.

Yorkshire Junior & Youth League Management are delighted that both companies have come on board to help reduce discipline and touchline behaviour: “This is a great opportunity for teams with no discipline to have a chance to be rewarded.”

The signing of the contract was filmed by Rugby AM and was shown on the Made in Leeds channel.

Teams from U12s to U18s who have zero discipline within a month will be put into a draw for £100 which can be exchanged for teamwear. This will run for six months from April to July and September October for every division at every age group U12s to U18s.

This will also be supported by rewarding every Cup Winning team, who will receive 15 Training Tops at all three Cup Final days.

Kappa are extremely happy to be involved with the Yorkshire Junior and Youth Amateur Rugby League in conjunction with MJM Sports and said that grassroots Rugby League is the foundation of the game and that many players playing in this league today will be the Super League stars of the future.

Terry Schofield of MJM Sports said: “MJM Sports are delighted to have been able to secure a potential five-year sponsorship deal with the Yorkshire Junior and Youth Amateur Rugby League. We believe promoting respect is important in sports more so in the junior leagues. We are looking forward to working with you all.”
